    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Hampton has only made one appearance for Chelsea since arriving from Aston Villa in the summer, although the 23-year-old impressed in a 3-0 win against Bristol City just before Christmas. With veteran number one Ann-Katrin Berger entering the twilight of her career, Hampton looks set to battle it out with Zecira Musovic for the starting job on a long-term basis.

    WHAT NEXT FOR HAMPTON?

Hampton will hope to get the nod when Chelsea host West Ham in the FA Women's Cup on January 14. If she impresses again, then manager Emma Hayes may decide to stick with the young Lioness when Manchester United visit in the WSL a week later.
